Important parable

But Jesus wasn’t finished with the disciples. He told them yet another important parable – one that every teacher, preacher and student o f God’s Word should take to heart: “Every scribe (teacher) who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.” Like the master of a house who brings out food for family and guests, God wants His disciples – that’s us - to be imitators of Jesus (not that we can ever accomplish that, but that we too would want to learn more, want to share more, want to teach, want to understand.
